desperate for ANYhelp with total teeth extractions and dentures

I guess when you are sitting in a room thinking about an issue you have you think you are the only one. I see how wrong I can be. I am currently taking medications that have destroyed my gums and teeth, I have been told I need all teeth extracted and dentures. ..alright.... so what do I do? They told me their charge for the 2 sets of dentures I would need are in the neighborhood of $1500.00. Then comes the extraction bill and who can even imagine what that will be. In that I am disabled (really am), and have not been working for the last year and a half have no savings to speak of. The soc sec check I receive goes straight to the family account to pay for all bills. No dinners on the town (not even once a month) no new clothes, except for the childrens needs. We have 3 children. My wife is the same. Get for the children we can figure something out for ourselves. Thetre are NO luxuries here. not even a movie,. No thats not entirely true. We do bring the kids to the movies,(discounted matinee) and wait for them to come out. Ok Iam sorry. Enough crying the blues....It's like I tell my friends... I felt bad because I didn't have shoes.....Until I met the man with no feet.
I just really need help getting the teeth extracted and dentures. I can actually make payments but of course our credit being what it is wont accept us. Oh yes... I must be put to sleep fpr the extractions. If it was on or two teeth thats one thing but all??? Asleep. ( yes I have an unrealistic and unbelievably horrific fear of dentistry. I actually grabbed the female dentists wrist whe she moved too fast with a.......mirror. YES the Mirror. so you see?
anyway I will not take anymore of anyones time. Can anyone help? At all??
Please contact me

Unable to catch up on agreement of terms of payday loan.

I just finished paying off salary advance that I've been juggling for the past
four months to counter a salary advance. I haven't been able to leave
enough in my account because of major bills coming due. Do not know what it will take to payoff a payday loan that I've missed the last two payments due to insufficient funds.

About 3CatsAndaDog

I am a 37 year old teacher, wife, and mother to three wonderful little kids.  2 months after our youngest was born, just over a year ago, my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer.  After a terrifying 3 months, he was on the road to recovery.  He had brain surgery, chemo, and radiation, as well as the chance to be a part of a clinical trial at NIH.

We are AMAZINGLY blessed in that he seems to be cancer free and doing wonderfully.  Most people with GBM's do not live much longer than a year.

Normally, I am the main "bread winner" in the family, but he coaches and brings in a little money here and there on a somewhat regular basis.  However, he was unable to work for quite some time as he underwent treatment and then recovered.  I ended up needing to go through bankruptcy since at the same time, I had run out of paid leave because I had used it up for my maternity leave.

Now, our oldest is in kindergarten, our middle child starts preschool next week, and we have a Honda Oddyssey sitting and rotting in front of our house- the transmission is shot.  One of the student's in my class last year had a father who is a mechanic- he towed it to his garage 45 minutes away and was able to replace spark plugs free of charge.  He was willing to help with the transmission- no charge for labor!  But we have no way of saving the money even to get a used one.  Plus now two of the tires are flat, it still needs a timing belt, and I have no credit cards or credit to help.  Now that school is back in session, I am getting pay checks again, but no one will/can do a payment plan!

The truck we currently drive also needs a timing belt and the breaks have been getting worse and worse on it.  Both vehicles are too old and have too much mileage for us to qualify for any help through any programs we have found or that were suggested to us when I contacted our Patient Advocate manager at Livestrong.  I make too much to qualify as "low income" and not enough to actually afford what we need.  Last month, to pay our rent, we needed to take a loan out from the local teacher's credit union.

If someone knows a way for us to finance these big repairs so that we have two running, safe vehicles so that I can take my son to school with me, and my husband can bring our daughter to school in the opposite direction, PLEASE let me know!!  We can make payments during the school year (the summers are very hard for us financially).  Thank you for reading my story.

I Need Help!

I really need you this time...I am on the verge of having a break down. I found a part time job for a while, and although I was still struggling, we were okay. Recently, I lost my job because my youngest son had gotten sick, and I missed too many days. when I went back to work, it was like I was the target of the day on a regular basis, so eventually I got fired. I am really in need of help. I have a small one bedroom apartment, that I made into two, by use of the dining room. I am backed up in bills, and everything is going wrong. I really need some financial help, anything will do. Please Aidpage, help me out this time!

Veterans’ Pension for Non-Service-Connected Disability

The Veterans' Pension for Non-Service-Connected Disability is a benefit paid to wartime veterans with limited income who are no longer able to work.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be permanently and totally disabled or have reached the age of 65. Income limits apply.

Aidpage group discussing "PAYMENTS"...

Feel free to participate in this public group space.

Two easy ways to do this:

  1. Add a comment or a question here - on this page... or on any other page in this space.
  2. Or, if you want to start a separate thread - make a new page.

Either way is good - the important thing is your participation. On Aidpage, people support each other by speaking out and by paying attention to each other - as simple as that.

Don't Make a Payment, Pay the Bill Off

When you are stressed about a bill and you are way behind. Don’t make a payment. Pay the bill off. It’s that simple.

I’ve learned in my experience and when I became very debt. I kept trying to make payments to catch up but every time I would turn around the bill payment I made, never may a dent in what I owed. So I got angry and thought there must be a better in handling this and there has to be a way to pay it off and get rid of it. How can I get out of debt quicker and not worry about next month’s payments.

So I did some research, spoke the credit expert. Went to classes and spent a lot of time in the public library trying to understand the easy way to pay that bill off, so I can quit making a payment. I kept getting deeper and deeper in debt because that bill kept coming and coming with higher interest rate or some type of charge.

Now, I’m not saying not to pay the bill. You have to pay it but you must and need to get rid of it. There are some bills that you can’t avoid and you must pay those in time. Such as electric bill or grocery bill or gas bill, phone bill but almost everything else you must get rid of it and you can.

What you do is take the bills and place them order by the most you owe to the least you owe and start from the smallest bill and work to the largest bill. It’s called a snowball effect. Lots of credit and money expert talk about that. You can read it in books, hear in DVD or audio recording but they all have the same concept.

Let’s say you owe $100.00 to the smallest bill and you only have $25.00 to pay at the time. Then pay the $25.00 until you pay the bill off. You pay that amount ever time you have that amount in your hand, not matter when. You don’t have to wait until the end of the month to make a payment, make the payment. If you get the $25.00 every week, then every week make a payment, until your bill is paid off. Once that bill is paid, go the next one and pay the $25.00 plus add a little more money to that payment. Such as on the second bill make it $40.00. Pay $40.00 every time you have it, until you pay the second bill off and then go to the next bill. You see the snowball effect happening.

You keep this up until all bills are paid off. You keep rolling that amount up and you will pay your largest bill off fast. I went from on paying $10.00 a month to a small bill from $500.00 to the largest bill paying that amount a month. I just was paying the bill until all bills are paid.

I’ve done it twice and I know I can do it again. So come on, I know you can do it too. Now this will only work if you are far behind on month bills. If you have basic bills coming to you such as electric bill, phone bill and other in that category. Then pay those bills first and when you start working on the snowball effect in paying the other bills, it will start working well and fast.

If you can’t afford to make a payment to a bill, start with something that you can manage and don’t give up. You can do it.

Pay the bill off; get rid of it, so like that you don’t have to worry about it in the future. By paying the bill off, it will go away and you will never have to deal with it again.

Think of all that money you will have once all the bills are paid off. Think of all you can do for yourself and your family, once all the bills are gone. Think of how you can spend it on the things you want instead of the things you need.

Think about it. You can do it. I know you can. Don't give up on this. It will take time but you can do it.

Any Help would be appreciated

Hello,

I am new to this and hope that I can find help.  I went through surgery on 10/19/07 to remove 2 fatty tumors in my groin.  I returned home and over the next few weeks developed severe pain in my groin and lower abdomen to the point I could not wear any clothing or have anything touching the area of the surgery.  I went back to the Dr. and had test after test and nothing could be found that would be causing the pain.  I started developing severe pain in my hands as well as lack of dexterity and ability to grasp objects.  I started having problems walking and standing and have recently been given a disabled status on my drivers license.  I went to a rheumatologist who found out that I have severe Fibromyalgia the criteria for diagnosis is 18 major trigger points she stopped counting at 25.  She also found that I had something called hyperesthesia a condition which the body recognizes any type of touch as pain.  They have also found that my pancreas is producing too much insulin and are debating whether to take it out.  I see a pain doctor who wants to install a spinal pump/stimulator to help with the pain.  I see a pain psychologist to help me deal with the depression this has all brought about.  I am now confined to my house I cant drive because of the pain meds not to mention the pain from grasping the steering wheel and pressing the pedals.  My wife does not understand this and wants a separation and this is where I need help.  My Job fired me because I could not return to work. I cannot work or make income and still waiting to see if I qualify for disability which can take another year.  I need help moving back to Virginia from Florida as well as the cost of housing in a handicap accessible apartment.  If anyone knows where I can go for this or is able to help please let me know.

Thank you and God Bless,

Tim

low income needs low cost vehicle

I am a new mommy to a beautiful 3mo old baby boy. And a single mother at that. I am permantly disabled due to spinal injury 5years ago. But with the help of 2 surgerys and pain management regimens I have reclaimed parts of my life again. Including having my son.

But because of this I am on disability, giving me a very low income. And my reason to post is this..

I am in need of a low cost, reliable vehicle. Preferably one with a back seat, good shape and safe. I currently have a little 2seater dodge dakota that has broke down, and not worth the cost to fix it even if I had that money. I need a realiable and safe vehicle for transportation to and from doctors appointments (several monthly) state and SSI appointments, grocery shopping, personal need shopping and all around misc errands. I am willing to either pay up to $500.00 for a vehicle, or make payment arrangements of $100/mo. for however long (preferably under 15months/$1500.00)

So if you are anyone you know are able to help with this, myself and my son would be eternally grateful. I am not looking for a handout just an opportunity to increase or quality of life.

Thank you for your time, consideration and help

Sincerely,

  Jennifer and Dylan
